I'm fascinated by volcanos and I say I wouldn't live by one. But the landscape in northern Arizona is pockmarked with old calderas. Very old. But really, this was volcanic at one time. If one of the S. California faults sets off a huge earthquake, who's to say everything wouldn't change.
